About this tender

Canberra Health Services seeks to engage a Commission-approved accrediting agency to deliver National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) accreditation services, ensuring ongoing compliance under the AHSSQA Scheme. CHS seeks quotations from providers with the capability and capacity to undertake a comprehensive accreditation assessment of CHS against the NSQHS Standards (Second Edition). The provider must be able to: • Accurately assess CHS’s performance against the NSQHS standards; • Identify opportunities for quality and safety improvement; and • Support CHS’s vision of “creating exceptional health care together”. Mandatory Provider Requirements The successful provider must clearly demonstrate the following: 1. Experience and capability in delivering accreditation services under the NSQHS Standards 2. A robust delivery framework that meets the Commission’s short notice assessment requirements (minimum 24 hours’ notice). 3. Adequate resourcing and expertise to support accreditation across a large, diverse and multi-site public health organisation. Key Deliverables The Provider must deliver the following as part of the accreditation services: 1. Conduct a full accreditation assessment of Canberra Health Services (CHS) as a multi-site organisation in accordance with the NSQHS Standards (Second Edition). Suppliers must include in their quotation: • proposed assessment size, • Assessment team composition, and • Assessment duration. 2. Meet all requirements under the AHSSQA Scheme. 3. Deliver a comprehensive accreditation assessment report, including: • Detailed rationale for all assessments ratings • Recommendations and improvements suggestions 4. Provide a proposed report structure and delivery timeframe 5. Demonstrate the ability to adapt processes to meet short notice assessments obligations.
