Overview Transport for NSW is inviting tenders from pre-qualified contractors, under the National Prequalification Scheme, to deliver the construction of road safety improvements along Appin Road between Mount Gilead and Brian Road in Appin. Purpose TfNSW's objective for the project is to improve safety on Appin Road between Mount Gilead and Brian Road in Appin. The project will create safer travel conditions for road users by adding wider lanes and shoulders, while also implementing key measures to protect wildlife. Scope The scope includes construction of road safety improvements along Appin Road between Appin and Gilead, consisting of: Road realignment Road and shoulder widening Installation of fauna exclusion infrastructure Additional information on the project is available on the TfNSW website: Appin Road Safety Improvements Contractor Requirements Pre-qualification with Transport for NSW under the National Prequalification Scheme at Roadworks Category R3 (or higher) Pre-qualification at Bridgeworks Category B1 (or higher) Pre-qualification at Financial Level F75 (or higher) Tender Briefing and Site Inspection Pre-Tender Meeting Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026 Time: 10:00am Format: Microsoft Teams Initial Site Visit Date: Friday, 7 August 2026 Time: 10:00am Location: Southwest corner of Brian Road and Appin Road, Appin Prospective tenderers must register at least 2 days prior to each event with the Contact Officer. Attendance at the pre-tender meeting and initial site visit is not mandatory to submit a conforming submission. Instructions to Tenderers Prospective tenderers will need to complete, sign and return the confidentiality deed, in accordance with the instructions in that deed, prior to being given access to the Request for Tender documents.
