Overview Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Assessing Global Automation Technologies for Labour Efficiency in Citrus (AS26001). About Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community. Objectives The objectives of the investment are to: Identify and assess global automation and mechanisation technologies that can reduce labour requirements in citrus, while also considering opportunities relevant to apples, pears, avocados, summerfruit, mangoes and table grapes Undertake a targeted international study tour to leading countries, technology providers and commercial horticultural operations to evaluate commercially deployed automation and mechanisation solutions and capture insights into their application and adoption Evaluate the suitability of identified technologies for Australian production systems and develop pathways for local demonstration, validation and industry adoption Instructions to Tenderers Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
