Enterprise Billing Platform
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview Bluecurrent (Australia) Pty Limited is issuing this Request for Information to better understand the capability, maturity, delivery approach and strategic thinking of potential billing platform providers. Purpose The purpose of this RFI is not to seek a final priced proposal or to lock Bluecurrent into a predetermined solution design. Rather, this RFI is intended to gather structured market insight, test the viability of potential solution options, and inform the development of a future business case, solution strategy and possible Request for Proposal process. This aligns with RFI best practice, where an RFI is used to understand vendor capability, clarify potential scope, improve the quality of later procurement activity, and obtain comparable market information before progressing to a more formal selection process. This RFI is issued for the purposes of gathering information only. It is intended to assist Bluecurrent in understanding available solutions, architectures and approaches offered in the market. This RFI does not constitute a commitment to proceed with procurement or vendor selection, a request for proposal or invitation to tender. Information Requested Bluecurrent is seeking responses from vendors that demonstrate more than generic billing platform capability. Respondents are expected to show that they have carefully considered Bluecurrent's current operating environment, billing complexity, market obligations, source system landscape, data dependencies, operational controls and strategic objectives. Bluecurrent is particularly interested in how respondents believe the current billing capability could be simplified, modernised, automated and better governed while still achieving the operational, financial, customer, regulatory and strategic outcomes required by the business.
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
