The University of Sydney is planning to deliver around 2,000 student accommodation beds on the Camperdown/Darlington Campus by 2031 across two sites. Site 1 (with the potential to deliver up to ~1,500 beds in two stages), and Site 2 (~850 beds). The University will shortly release an Expression of Interest (EOI) to identify suitably qualified and experienced lead consultants. Scope of Services The appointed consultant teams will generally be required to deliver: 1. Planning and design for submissions of State Significant Development Application (SSDA) documentation and early site investigations, 2. Detailed design and preparation of tender documentation, and 3. Review of successful contractor's construction drawings (where applicable) Disciplines Sought The EOI will seek lead consultants in the following disciplines: Architect (Design Lead) Structural Engineer Services Engineer Town Planner Lead consultants will be responsible for managing required subconsultants as part of their delivery team (refer to table). Procurement Approach The procurement will follow a two-staged, quality-based selection process: EOI followed by Request for Tender (RFT) for shortlisted respondents. International firms are welcome to submit in partnership with Australian firms. The University intends to utilise the EOI process to identify suitably qualified and experienced companies for recommendation to its Engineering, Architecture and Town Planning consultant panels.
