Overview Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest for the usage of the former water tank land parcel at 47 Paradise Lane, Murrurundi. About The land contains a former UHSC water tank and has the following planning parameters: Zoning: RU1 Parcel size: 948.5m2 Water: Not connected but adjacent to front boundary, connection around $2,000 Sewer: Available 360m from the property, requiring extension of the gravity sewer 200m ($50,000) and the installation of a pressurised sewer system on the land parcel with connection to the gravity sewer system (150m) Power: Essential Energy power is potentially available 32m across the street but is not connected Land Rate: $368.50 (25/26) Dwelling entitlement: Applies to the parcel Eligibility Purchasers will need to undertake their own due diligence in regard to approvals for any proposed use Information Requested Council will evaluate submissions based on requested information. The first request will include understanding the applicant's: Individual or organisation making the application Interest in the water tank, the site along with the water tank, or the site without the water tank Works required to be undertaken before occupation of the property Timeframe for occupation, both the time to complete necessary works and the planned ongoing occupation timeframe Financial contributions being proposed, for example land, water, sewer, or electricity charges How to Apply Proposals will only be accepted through the online form: EOI Proposal Form Applications must be received by Council no later than 4:30pm on Monday 17 August, 2026.
