About this tender

Overview The Bloomfield Group invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of major components for its Caterpillar 793F haul trucks. About The Caterpillar 793F fleet operates at Rix's Creek Mine in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The trucks operate in an active open-cut mining environment and form part of the site's production fleet. Purpose The Bloomfield Group is undertaking a first-life rebuild program to restore selected trucks to a defined operational standard, extend their service life and support ongoing fleet reliability and availability. As part of the broader rebuild strategy, The Bloomfield Group is considering both an integrated delivery model, under which a single supplier provides a complete rebuild solution, and a disaggregated delivery model, under which component supply and rebuild activities are undertaken by multiple specialist suppliers. This EOI relates specifically to the supply of major components and is intended to identify suppliers with the experience, capability and capacity to support the rebuild program. Scope The proposed component categories include: Engine Air inlet and exhaust system Power train Braking system Hydraulic system Steering system Frame and body Other associated major components The Bloomfield Group is interested in the following component supply types: Used cores New OEM components Remanufactured components Overhauled components supplied on a parts exchange basis Overhauled components supplied by outright purchase Instructions to Tenderers Respondents are not required to supply all component categories or supply types. Respondents should identify the specific areas in which they have relevant capability and wish to be considered. This EOI forms the first stage of a two-stage procurement process. Its purpose is to identify prospective tenderers for potential invitation to a subsequent private Request for Tender (RFT). Invitations to participate in the RFT may be restricted to respondents who submit a response to this EOI. Detailed technical, commercial and pricing requirements will be provided during the RFT stage. Respondents are not required to submit detailed component pricing as part of this EOI. The issue of this EOI does not commit or otherwise oblige The Bloomfield Group to proceed with the RFT, invite any respondent to participate in the RFT, enter into an agreement, or acquire any goods or services.

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
