About this tender
Overview Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals or organisations for the role of Technical Assessment Lead for the Livestock Sector Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Method. About MLA has been invited by the Australian Government to lead the development of a new Livestock Sector ACCU Method covering beef, sheep and dairy production systems. Purpose The Technical Assessment Lead will provide independent scientific, technical and regulatory assurance throughout method development, supporting MLA, Module Leads and Technical Advisory Panels to develop a scientifically robust, evidence-based and defensible method that meets the requirements of the ACCU Scheme and the Offsets Integrity Standards. Scope The scope includes: Review of method architecture, abatement calculations, modelling approaches, draft method documentation and the carbon estimation tool Supporting MLA, Module Leads and Technical Advisory Panels during method development Undertaking independent technical assessments at key project milestones Preparing formal review reports to support method refinement, departmental review and final consideration under the ACCU Scheme approval process Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified individual or organisation capable of providing independent scientific, technical and regulatory assurance for the method development process Contract Terms and Conditions The project is expected to run for approximately 30 months A fixed budget of up to $100,000 AUD (excluding GST) is available for the role How to Apply Expressions of interest must be submitted electronically to LivestockSectorMethod@mla.com.au.
