Casino STP Early Works Geotechnical and Designs

Overview Richmond Valley Council is requesting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to provide Geotechnical Investigation and Civil Design services for the Casino STP Early Works. About Council is progressing the Development Phase of the new Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) project, which is required to replace the existing, failing infrastructure. Preliminary works and investigations have already been undertaken, including Concept Design, geological investigations, Detailed Design (90%) and other environmental studies. Council is now progressing the development of a package of works termed "Early Works". The Early Works will be completed prior to the Detailed Design and Construction (DD&C) Phase of the new STP process plant and will produce the "Infrastructure Pad". Scope The scope includes: Provision of Geotechnical Investigation services Provision of Civil Design services Clearing, grubbing and removal of unsuitable fill, including contaminated spoil and unsuitable spoil, with stockpiling on site Ground remediation of the current subgrade Import of engineered fill Placement and compaction of imported fill Objectives Together, the Early Works activities are intended to achieve: A robust, settled and well documented base for the future work and plant Reduced construction risk and cost for the DD&C Contract Flood proofing of the site and hence the future STP once constructed Contractor Requirements Previously provided Geotechnical Investigation and Civil Design services to the local government sector and/or in the Richmond Valley Region or the Northern Rivers Extensive and proven practical experience with Geotechnical Investigation and Civil Design
