Overview City of Newcastle is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to provide the long-term supply, dry hire, maintenance and lifecycle management of critical heavy plant for the Summerhill Waste Management Centre. Scope The scope includes: Long-term supply and dry hire of a guaranteed base fleet comprising a landfill dozer, excavator and articulated dump truck Maintenance and lifecycle management of the base fleet plant A standing offer arrangement for additional heavy plant requirements on an as-needed basis Objectives The objective is to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective plant availability to support continuous landfill operations. Tender Briefing and Site Inspection A non-mandatory pre-tender briefing and site inspection will be held for this opportunity. Date: Tuesday, 8 September 2026 Time: 11:00am Location: Summerhill Waste Management Centre, 120 Summerhill Road, Wallsend NSW 2287 (off Minmi Road) Attendance: Non-mandatory, though tenderers are strongly encouraged to attend to gain an understanding of the operational requirements and site conditions relevant to the tender Registration: Tenderers wishing to attend must register via eProcure by 2:00pm on Friday, 4 September 2026 Instructions to Tenderers Persons willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract are invited to submit a tender response to Council. Responsibility for lodgement of completed RFT documents by the deadline lies solely with the supplier. RFT lodgement information is provided in the tender document. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.
