About this tender
Overview City of Parramatta Council is inviting tenders from experienced contractors under Invitation to Tender No. ITT 620 to construct and deliver a new Town Square for Granville, at the corner of Rowell Street and Cowper Street, Granville. About The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 84 square kilometres, comprising a population of approximately 260,296 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences. Scope The scope of work for Granville Town Square includes the delivery of public domain and community infrastructure facilities as follows: Site preparation including demolition of some existing buildings, on grade car park, footpaths and associated components, and removal and disposal of demolished materials Civil construction including earthwork (cut and fill) and site formation, pavements, roads, kerb and gutter, footpaths, and a stormwater discharge system with rain garden and associated components Building work consisting of a cafe, public toilets and shelters and associated structures Structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical engineering and lighting installation Soft and hard landscape construction including planting of mature trees and other vegetation, precast concrete seating, steps, bleachers, paving and related components A bespoke play structure Relocation and adjustment of existing infrastructure and obtaining new service connections to Endeavour Energy, Sydney Water, Jemena and telecommunication providers Associated work and services related to the above items Contractor Requirements Tenderers must have ISO certified systems for Work Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Management, and Environmental Management to be considered for this tender Contract Terms and Conditions The Tender price is for a fixed lump sum A final decision will be made regarding this Tender in November 2026 Works are anticipated to commence in December 2026 Instructions to Tenderers No pre-tender meeting is proposed, however it is recommended that prospective tenderers visit the project site to confirm the scope of work. If questions arise, these should be submitted via the etender forum. The Tender Forum closes 2 business days before the Tender closing date. Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box by 10.00am Friday, 14 August 2026. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted, and any action or contact that may be considered as an attempt to influence a decision of Councillors or Staff shall disqualify the relevant tender.
