LAND 6504 Medium Range Ground Based Air and Missile Defence (MRGBAD)

Overview The Department of Defence is conducting industry engagement activities under LAND6504 Medium Range Ground Based Air and Missile Defence (MRGBAD), in support of the development and execution of a multi-phase procurement process for the acquisition of a Medium Range Ground Based Air and Missile Defence capability. This notice is not a procurement. Any procurement process initiated by the Commonwealth in respect of the requirements will be released separately via AusTender. Purpose The procurement process will commence with the release of a Competitive Evaluation Process (CEP) via AusTender. LAND6504 MRGBAD is expected to include both Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) engagement activities. Objectives The industry engagement sessions are intended to: Provide information concerning the proposed procurement Understand industry capability and capacity Identify opportunities and risks associated with the acquisition The industry engagement sessions are not intended to: Evaluate industry solutions Negotiate commercial arrangements Provide participants with competitive advantages Indicate Commonwealth preferences regarding potential capability solutions or acquisition pathways The information contained in this notice reflects Defence's current intent in relation to LAND6504 MRGBAD, but this may be subject to change. Planned Industry Engagement Activities As part of LAND6504 MRGBAD, Defence intends to: Conduct an Industry Briefing at Land Forces 2026 Provide online access to watch the Industry Briefing Disseminate a recording of the Industry Briefing Conduct one-on-one industry engagement sessions with interested participants Conduct subsequent industry engagement activities as required Release a Competitive Evaluation Process (CEP) via AusTender as soon as practicable following Land Forces 2026 Tender Briefing An Industry Briefing will be held as part of Land Forces 2026.
