About this tender

Overview Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking an appropriately experienced contractor to design and construct new sheep loading ramps and associated pavement renewal at the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) sheep delivery yards. About The existing loading ramps, located in the northeast corner of the LMC site, were constructed with the original facility and have reached the end of their useful life, increasing the risk of slips and injuries and creating potential workplace safety and animal welfare concerns. Purpose The project aims to replace the original ramps with modern equipment to ensure safe operating conditions for animals, staff, and operators. The desired outcome of this RFT is to enter into a Lump Sum Contract with an appropriately experienced contractor for the design and construction of the new ramps and pavement renewal in accordance with the tender documentation. Scope The scope includes: Design of new loading ramps Removal of the existing ramps Remediation of the pavement Installation of new loading ramps Pavement renewal at the base of the ramps Provision of all labour, supervision, materials, equipment, designs, overheads, administration, taxes, wages, accommodation, transport, allowances, consumables, testing services, and any other incidental costs required to construct the works in accordance with the contract Contractor Requirements Appropriate experience in the design and construction of similar loading ramp and pavement works Contract Terms and Conditions The successful tenderer will enter into a Lump Sum Contract for the design and construction of the new ramps and pavement renewal Tender Briefing A pre-tender briefing will be held on-site. Whilst not compulsory, consultants are encouraged to attend to obtain a firsthand understanding of the works required.
