About this tender
Overview Cessnock City Council (CCC) is proposing to engage an experienced contractor under a Construction only Contract to carry out the replacement/construction of Wyndham Street Bridge, Greta, within the Cessnock LGA. Purpose The primary objective of this project is to replace the existing timber bridge with a modern structure while maintaining its local heritage perspective due to its location in the Greta Conservation Area. Scope Replacement/construction of Wyndham Street Bridge, Greta Replacement of the existing timber bridge with a modern structure Delivery of works with consideration for the local heritage perspective of the Greta Conservation Area Contractor Requirements Experienced contractor required to carry out the works under a Construction only Contract A tenderer must not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed Instructions to Tenderers Any person or company willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract are invited to submit a tender to the Council by the deadline, 2.00 pm on Tuesday 29 September 2026, by one of the methods detailed in the Conditions of Tendering. Responsibility for lodgement of completed tender documents by the deadline lies solely with the Tenderer. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.
