Request for Information (RFI)-Improving opportunities for local businesses through supply chain services in NSW
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview NSW Treasury is seeking information and views from organisations with experience in supply chain services to identify opportunities to improve participation and outcomes for local businesses in NSW. Purpose NSW Treasury, on behalf of the Local Jobs First Commission, is seeking information from organisations that provide, or could provide, supply chain services. This Request for Information (RFI) will help Treasury better understand market capability, service delivery models, indicative pricing, and innovative approaches that may support increased local supplier participation in NSW Government procurement. Information gathered through this RFI may inform future policy, program, and procurement considerations. Scope NSW Treasury is seeking information and views from organisations with experience in supply chain services. For the purposes of this RFI, supply chain services are defined as business advisory services that enable "intermediation between buyers and sellers along a vertical supply chain", which can strengthen local supply chain linkages with the aim of increasing local supplier participation, local content, or local jobs. Supply chain services can sometimes be referred to as: Supply chain intermediation Business brokering Deep tier supply chain matching Supply chain mapping and discovery Supply chain facilitation and engagement Backwards linkages Local economic linkages Local content linkages Organisations that work in this area may also be involved in procurement, supplier engagement, market analysis, supply chain data, or related services. Responses will inform NSW Treasury's understanding of the market and may help shape the scope and approach of any future procurement process. NSW Treasury is not seeking supply chain management or logistics services through this RFI. Instructions to Respondents Participation in this RFI is entirely voluntary. Respondents may provide as much or as little information as they consider appropriate, and are welcome to respond to all, some, or none of the questions. Additional information on matters not specifically addressed in the RFI is also encouraged. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
