SERVICE REQUIRED: Shellharbour City Council invites submissions for the construction of Shell Cove Rd retaining wall and staircase renewal. ENQUIRIES: Tender enquiries should be directed to Paul Gallina via the on-line forum SUBMITTING TENDER: i) Tenders can be submitted in electronic format through Councils e-tendering portal in the format required by the tender documents. ii) Alternatively, tenders can be submitted in hard copy in the Tender box located at Council's Administration Centre, 76 Cygnet Avenue Shellharbour City Centre NSW 2529. REMINDER: Ensure ALL files are uploaded to the Electronic Tenders Box PRIOR to the time and date above. PLEASE NOTE: The ETB closes automatically at this time - file transfers still in progress at the exact closing time WILL NOT be accepted and you will not receive an automatic "successful submission" notice. DO NOT leave your submission to the last minute. As a guide you should begin your file transfer at least 1 hour prior to closing time
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
