Sport Field Drainage Upgrades

Overview Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking tenders (T04160) for Sport Field Drainage upgrades at Douglass Street Oval, Dora Creek 2264, and Hunter Barnett Field, Windale 2306. About Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 35% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 217,000, Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. The city's population is expected to grow by 39,000 by 2041, creating a demand for 12,000 new dwellings and associated infrastructure. Scope The scope includes: Design and construction of sand silt drainage systems at Douglass Street Oval, Dora Creek, and Hunter Barnett Field, Windale Improving the drainage performance, playability, and resilience of the sports fields Designing and constructing drainage systems to efficiently collect, convey, and discharge surface and subsurface water Providing safe, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose playing surfaces for community sport Contractor Requirements Experienced sport field drainage contractors are encouraged to tender for these works Information Requested In the preparation and submission of the tender, and without limiting the tenderer's obligations, the tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules, including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required, completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information, and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed, nor engage in any form of collusive practice, nor directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
