Overview Shoalhaven City Council invites quotations from suitably qualified contractors for the design, supply, construction, commissioning and handover of replacement public beach access stairs at Narrawallee Inlet. The existing treated pine stair structure has deteriorated significantly and reached the end of its useful service life. Council requires the complete removal and replacement of the existing access stairs with a durable, fit-for-purpose structure suitable for the coastal environment. Existing photographs of the stair structure are included within the RFQ documentation for reference. Scope The Contractor shall undertake all works necessary to deliver a fully operational staircase, including but not limited to: Site investigations Geotechnical investigations Detailed design and engineering certification Preparation of design documentation Procurement and supply of materials Demolition and disposal of the existing staircase Construction of the replacement staircase Reinstatement and stabilisation of disturbed areas, including erosion and sediment control measures Environmental protection measures Quality assurance testing and inspections Practical completion Provision of as-constructed documentation Final certification and project handover Contract Terms and Conditions This procurement is being undertaken as a Design and Construct contract under AS4902. Council has not prepared a concept or detailed design. The successful Contractor shall be responsible for undertaking all investigations, design, certification, construction, commissioning and handover activities required to deliver the completed asset.
