Council, through this Request for Tender (RFT) No 2025/26 – 504006B, is seeking appropriately qualified and experienced contractors for the Removal and Disposal of Existing Heating Systems and the Supply and Installation of New Heat Pump Systems at Lawson Swimming Centre, Glenbrook Swimming Centre and Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre. This procurement covers the supply and installation of commercial heat pumps to replace gas-fired water boilers at Lawson Swimming Centre, Glenbrook Swimming Centre and Springwood Aquatic & Fitness Centre. These upgrades will: • Transition major aquatic sites from gas to electricity (100% renewable supply); • Reduce carbon emissions and operational energy costs; • Demonstrate heat pump technology viability in cooler climates; • Support BMCC’s Net Zero Plan and Sustainability Strategy; • Improve comfort and service delivery by maintaining consistent pool water temperatures.
