Supply of Fibre Reinforced Polymer Boardwalk and Viewing Platform
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview Central Coast Council is inviting tenders for the supply of a Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Boardwalk and Viewing Platform system for the Mannering Park Shared Path project (Contract Number: CPA/000769). Council is seeking an appropriate contractor for the supply and delivery of the FRP boardwalk and viewing platform system in accordance with the tendered drawings. Council intends to use this Request for Tender as the basis for entering into a contract with the preferred tenderer. The FRP boardwalk and viewing platform system is to be installed by internal Council crews. About The proposed FRP boardwalk and viewing platform will form part of the Mannering Park Shared Path project, enabling continuation of the new shared path along the foreshore of Lake Macquarie. Council is in the final stages of refining the shared path design, taking into account numerous site constraints. The tendered drawings show the current boardwalk design and extents, but this may need to be shortened and an alternate rail system may be adopted. For this reason, the contract pricing has been structured as a lump sum with provisional quantity rates for certain elements of the works, with the actual required quantities to be determined and advised to the contractor before contract award. Scope The scope of works under this contract is the supply and delivery of all materials, components, parts and fittings required to construct the FRP boardwalk and viewing platform in accordance with the tendered drawings, all other tender documentation and the manufacturer's instructions and requirements. The scope includes: Piles Structural members of varying dimensions (bearers, joists, braces etc) Micro mesh decking End caps Inserts 316 SS connection hardware (threaded rods, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, bushes, angles, brackets, stiffeners etc) The scope of work does not include the assembly and installation of the boardwalk or viewing platform structures, or the supply of seating furniture. Contract Terms and Conditions Delivery timeframes for the supplied materials are as follows: All pile and bearer components, including all associated members and connection hardware: by 2nd February 2027, or 5 weeks after the date of the Letter of Acceptance (whichever is the later of the two) All joist components: by 23rd March 2027, or 8 weeks after the Letter of Acceptance All decking: by 9th March 2027, or 10 weeks after the Letter of Acceptance All handrail systems: by 30th March 2027, or 13 weeks after the Letter of Acceptance The delivery driver shall remain on site while the unloaded materials are inspected by Council personnel. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
