Overview Hawkesbury City Council has programmed the reconstruction of Kentucky Drive, Glossodia and Comleroy Road, Kurrajong in its 26/27 Capital Works Program to rehabilitate the existing road pavements and improve the overall pavement condition, safety and serviceability. Council (the Principal) is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors or companies to undertake the road pavement reconstruction, drainage improvement, and associated civil works at Kentucky Drive, Glossodia and Comleroy Road, Kurrajong, in accordance with the requirements, specifications, drawings and terms and conditions of the RFT. Purpose Council included the reconstruction and pavement improvement works for these two roads in its Capital Works Program, funded under the Roads to Recovery (R2R) Program, to improve the pavement condition, road safety, and overall serviceability of the roads. Scope The works comprise two separable portions: Portion A: Kentucky Drive Reconstruction Portion B: Comleroy Road Reconstruction The works will generally include: Site establishment, installation of erosion and sediment control measures, and installation of project signs Carrying out DBYD checks, underground service investigation and electronic service locating Traffic control measures and safe traffic management at the work site Excavation, profiling, milling and boxing out of the existing road pavement as per the design drawings In situ stabilisation of the subbase and basecourse layer and compaction as per the technical specification Supply and placement of DGB20 Class 1 natural rock aggregate material and selected fill material, and compaction Two coat seal including prime seal binder application Grading and reshaping of table drains Line marking and installation of guideposts, chevron signs and traffic signs Waste material disposal and any other work required to complete the full scope of work as per the design drawings Contractor Requirements Appropriately qualified and experienced contractor or company capable of undertaking road pavement reconstruction, drainage improvement, and associated civil works
