ABOUT THE COUNCIL: Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community. Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment. SERVICE REQUIRED: Council invites tenders for the provision of markets at North Narrabeen Reserve (Reserve). The Reserve is Council land, located at 1472 to 1518 Pittwater Road, Warriewood, NSW. The Reserve is a regional community, sport and recreation precinct and home to local sports including AFL, rugby union, baseball, and touch football clubs. A weekly (Friday) produce and high-quality merchandise market has been operating successfully at this Reserve for several years under a licence arrangement with Council. Council is seeking to continue to provide our community with a weekly vibrant outdoor shopping and entertainment experience at the Reserve and to provide local businesses with opportunities to participate. The Contract term will be a maximum of 6 years, being an initial period of two (2) years with the potential of two (2) extensions of two (2) years each at Council's sole discretion.
