About this tender

Overview The Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) invites Australian organisations to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in a proposed UK-Australia AUKUS Industry Engagement Week. The program is expected to bring together Australian and UK government and defence industry stakeholders through a series of targeted engagements designed to strengthen collaboration and build partnerships in support of AUKUS Pillar I and the development of Australia's sovereign submarine industrial base. Activities may include: Strategic briefings Roundtables Business-to-business engagements Networking functions Capability showcases Site visits, including submarine industrial facilities Objectives The engagement week aims to: Connect Australian industry directly with decision-makers, capability partners and supply chain participants across the UK submarine enterprise Showcase opportunities for Australian organisations to contribute to the delivery of the UK's submarine program and broader AUKUS objectives Facilitate commercial discussions and partnership opportunities that support business growth, technology collaboration and supply chain integration Provide participants with greater insight into the UK submarine market, industrial environment and future capability requirements Support Australian industry to build the relationships, knowledge and market awareness needed to pursue opportunities across the UK and broader AUKUS submarine ecosystem Eligibility Submitting an EOI does not guarantee an organisation a place in the delegation. Due to the anticipated high level of interest, ASA will undertake a competitive assessment process following the EOI closing date. Participation numbers may be limited, and selections will be made to ensure the delegation delivers meaningful outcomes for both industry and government stakeholders. Priority Consideration Priority consideration may be given to organisations that demonstrate: Alignment with priority capability areas relevant to the UK's submarine enterprise and Australia's Nuclear-Powered Submarine (NPS) Program Capability, capacity and growth potential to support submarine enterprise requirements Potential to establish or strengthen partnerships with UK organisations, including technology, workforce, research, infrastructure or supply chain collaborations Export readiness and the ability to pursue opportunities within the UK and broader AUKUS submarine supply chains A clear business objective for participation and an ability to benefit from engagement with UK stakeholders Contributions to the growth of Australia's sovereign submarine industrial base, including workforce development and industrial uplift outcomes A balanced representation of SMEs, mid-tier companies, primes, academic institutions, research organisations and strategic industry partners Instructions to Tenderers Only organisations selected through the EOI process will be issued a formal registration invitation and receive the final agenda and logistics information. How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
