Overview Sydney Trains is seeking a supplier to provide ongoing maintenance services for its Underfloor Wheel Profiling Machine (WPM), a critical asset used to assess wheel condition and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards. Purpose WPM maintenance is required on an ongoing basis to support the safe and reliable delivery of rail services across Sydney Trains. The WPM is a critical asset used to manage wheel condition by machining wheels to the required profile and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards. As Sydney Trains operates a single WPM system, its availability and reliability are essential to maintaining fleet integrity and preventing downstream operational impacts. Objectives The WPM maintenance aims to: Maximise system availability, accuracy and reliability Extend the useful service life of the WPM and optimise whole-of-life costs Manage health and safety risks associated with the operation and maintenance of the system Ensure compliance with relevant safety, engineering and regulatory requirements Scope The supplier will support Sydney Trains' asset maintenance and safety assurance obligations through the ongoing maintenance of the WPM.
