The Yothu Yindi Foundation (YYF) invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified construction contractors for the delivery of the Garma Institute – Gunyaŋara Campus, located in North East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The Garma Institute represents a nationally significant initiative to establish a worldclass education, cultural and training facility on Yolŋu land. The campus will support a Yolŋu-centred learning model that combines traditional knowledge with contemporary education and training pathways. The project will involve the development of a new campus including teaching facilities, offices, performing arts space, recording studio, cafeteria, gathering spaces and supporting infrastructure. The works will be delivered in a remote environment and will require careful planning of logistics, workforce mobilisation, supply chain management and community engagement. YYF is seeking a contractor with demonstrated experience delivering complex projects in remote environments, and who is committed to working collaboratively with the client, design team and community to deliver a culturally respectful and high-quality outcome. YYF is seeking a construction partner who recognises the long-term significance of the Garma Institute and is committed to contributing positively to the community and region through the successful delivery of this project. Expressions of Interest must be submitted electronically in PDF format as a single document.
