Overview City of Darwin is seeking a contractor for the construction of headworks and a high thrill play area at Malak Oval, Malak Park. The works form part of a new regional-scale multigenerational recreation facility designed to support play, recreation and community gathering for people of all ages and abilities. Scope The works comprise Stage 1 Contract 2 of the Recreation Space works. The scope includes: Installation of multi-thrill fixed play equipment (client supplied) Installation of soft fall surfaces Construction of shared pathways Installation of seating nodes Construction of a shade sail structure Associated landscape works, including new tree planting, garden beds, irrigation systems and open grassed areas to enhance cooling and greening Installation of supporting infrastructure, including pathway lighting, drainage systems, and water and electrical services Integration of the design with the recently redeveloped car park and surrounding community facilities to deliver a safe, accessible and inclusive space
