Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking proposals from qualified Cloud Platform Providers to join a national Cloud Platforms Panel under the Health Digital Investment Plan (HDIP). This panel will supply public and private cloud platform and workload hosting services to support Health NZ's Cloud Modernisation Programme — consolidating fragmented digital infrastructure from 20 former District Health Boards into a modern, resilient national environment. Health NZ currently manages 12,000+ servers across dispersed on-premises, IaaS, and public cloud environments. The Programme aims to migrate approximately 4,000 servers in the initial four-year term, and up to 11,000 in aggregate across the full panel term. What We Are Looking For: Providers capable of delivering enterprise-scale public and/or private cloud platforms, including demonstrated experience hosting large customer environments (4,000+ virtual workloads). Private cloud respondents must be able to provide national coverage across Health NZ sites from Invercargill to Kaitaia. Contact: Name: Gary Cooper Email: gary.cooper@tewhatuora.govt.nz
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
