Future Proofing Nematology
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview The Ministry for Primary Industries (NZ) is seeking a provider to develop a DNA barcode reference database for plant parasitic nematodes, verified by morphological analysis. The Ministry will provide support to the provider with regards to host selection and coordination at a national level. Purpose Identification of plant parasitic nematodes using DNA sequencing alone is often inconclusive due to a lack of reference sequence data, including for nematodes already known to be present in New Zealand. Developing a verified DNA sequence database for plant parasitic nematodes will speed up nematology diagnostics and reduce reliance on nematodes expressing their required morphological characters. Scope The scope includes: Development of a DNA barcode reference database for plant parasitic nematodes Verification of the DNA barcode reference database by morphological analysis Enquiries Contact: Anna Lee Phone: 04 894 2605
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
