Overview The University of Canterbury is seeking a contractor to replace approximately 100 ageing external lighting poles across its campus to maintain a safe and reliable campus lighting network. Scope The scope includes: Removal and replacement of approximately 100 existing external lighting poles Provision of professional lighting design services to confirm that the replacement lighting complies with applicable standards and meets the University's operational requirements Provision of advice on opportunities to upgrade the lighting installation where this represents value for money and improves lighting performance, energy efficiency or asset longevity Contractor Requirements The contractor must confirm they have the resources to deliver the project with half of the poles replaced prior to Christmas 2026 and the second half replaced prior to lectures starting in 2027 Site Inspection Options for a site visit are available.
