About this tender
Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main building or roofing contractor to undertake roof replacement and remediation works across various blocks at Aokautere School. Scope The scope includes: Removal and replacement of existing metal roofing across various blocks at Aokautere School Replacement of flashings, underlay, translucent roofing and spouting Roof penetration and weather-tightness repairs Skylight removal and reinstatement Replacement of defective timber purlins where required Relocation of heat pump units Disposal of existing roof mounted solar panels and associated making good Contractor Requirements All work must comply with manufacturer's specifications and recommendations Contract Terms and Conditions A BEA review is required for the works The Ministry of Education Construction Observation Team will monitor the works to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards Ideally, and dependent on MoE funding approval, the work would start as soon as possible after confirmation is provided, however this will be discussed with the successful contractor and the school once funding approvals are confirmed Site Inspection Contractors must visit the site for the tender to be compliant.
