Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main contractor for the Foxton School Block 3, 4 and 10 Roofing Replacement and Block 10 Hall Woodtex Ceiling Tile Replacement contract works. The project involves remediation of weathertightness failures and associated roofing, guttering, downpipe, flashing, penetration sealing, barge/fascia repairs, making good, rot repairs, service removals and Woodtex ceiling remediation works. About A 10YPP specialist report identified significant condition and weathertightness issues at the school. This project is included in the current 5YA programme and forms part of the school's current 5YA programme, funded from 5YA and 5YA supplementary funding. Objectives Achieve durable, compliant, and fully weathertight roofing systems for Blocks 3, 4 and 10, including replacement of end-of-life roofing materials, translucent roofing, gutters, downpipes and remediation of associated damage Achieve a new, lightweight ceiling system in the hall Scope The scope includes: Remediation of weathertightness failures at Blocks 3, 4 and 10 Roofing replacement, including replacement of corrugated and translucent roofing, including Solasafe polycarbonate over safety mesh Guttering and downpipe replacement Flashing and penetration sealing Barge and fascia repairs Making good and rot repairs Service removals Removal and replacement of existing Woodtex ceiling tiles in the Block 10 hall building, forming a new lightweight ceiling system Planning and managing the works to minimise disruption to the live school environment and maintain safe school operations throughout construction Instructions to Tenderers All responses are to be submitted via GETS.
