Okaihau Primary School – Block 1: Flooring, Staff Toilets, Accessible Toilet and Sickbay

Overview The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a contractor for refurbishment works to Block 1 at Okaihau Primary School, covering flooring, staff toilets, an accessible toilet and the sickbay. Scope The scope includes: Strip-out and removal of asbestos-contaminated material Substructure works, including new concrete slab sections New internal and exterior wall framing, with cladding repairs Replacement interior doors, new floor coverings, wall and ceiling linings, and repainting New vanity units, cubicle partitions and sanitaryware New sanitary plumbing and drainage works Heating, ventilation, electrical and lighting upgrades Disconnection and reinstatement of the fire system Contract Terms and Conditions Asbestos removal, demolition and disruptive works should preferably be carried out over the Christmas holidays Works are expected to start on 1 December 2026 Completion is preferred by 28 February 2027 Instructions to Tenderers All enquiries are to be made through GETS.
