Overview The Department of Conservation (NZ) is advising the market of a potential future opportunity for the construction of timber boardwalk structures and track construction works on the Rakiura Track (Great Walk) and the Chocolate Swamp Boardwalk, both located within Rakiura National Park. Scope The scope includes: Construction of up to 1,200m of timber boardwalk on the Rakiura Track Construction of timber boxed steps on the Rakiura Track Construction of timber "stringer steps" on the Rakiura Track Delivery of the above works at up to 45 discrete locations over approximately 18.5 kms of the Rakiura Track Construction of a 7m x 7m timber shelter on the Rakiura Track Installation of a Norski "Wilderness" toilet on the Rakiura Track Replacement of structural components of the existing 550m long Chocolate Swamp Boardwalk structures Replacement of some structural piles on the Chocolate Swamp Boardwalk, where identified as required Instructions to Tenderers This is a Future Procurement Opportunity notice, advising the market of a potential upcoming opportunity which may or may not be progressed.
