About this tender
Overview Christchurch City Council is inviting Prospective Suppliers to submit Proposals to design, supply and install sports field lighting at Te Nukutai o Tapoa Naval Point Lyttelton Recreation Ground. About Council maintains and operates a rugby pitch at Te Nukutai o Tapoa Naval Point in Lyttelton, which is adjacent to a football pitch, a netball court and a multi-use court. A resource consent has been obtained for the new lights. Purpose New sports field lighting is needed for the rugby pitch as the current lighting is insufficient. The new floodlights will better meet user needs and will allow for evening rugby games and training. Scope The scope includes: Design, supply and installation of sports field lighting at Te Nukutai o Tapoa Naval Point Lyttelton Recreation Ground Installation of 6 light poles, each 18m in height Installation of luminaires on both sides of the light poles to light the rugby pitch and the neighbouring football pitch, netball court and multi-use court Removal of the existing lighting infrastructure Contractor Requirements The proposed solution must meet the requirements of the District Plan and the Principal's Requirements Instructions to Tenderers Council has supplied geotechnical information for the site with the tender package (refer to Part B Scope and Specification).
