About this tender
Overview Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking to establish a national panel of suppliers to provide contingent clinical workforce services across Medical Officers (Locums), Allied Health, and Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare Assistants. About Health NZ relies on contingent workforce providers to support workforce shortages, maintain continuity of patient care and ensure clinical services can continue to operate effectively across New Zealand. The current arrangements are due to expire in February 2027 and Health NZ is undertaking an open competitive procurement process to establish a new national panel. Purpose The objective of this procurement is to create a more consistent, transparent and nationally coordinated approach to sourcing contingent clinical personnel. Objectives The future panel will support: Improved workforce access Stronger supplier accountability Enhanced credentialing and compliance requirements Better reporting and visibility of spend Improved value for money Scope The scope includes: Provision of contingent clinical workforce services across Medical Officers (Locums), Allied Health, and Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare Assistants Respondents may submit proposals for one, two, or all three workforce categories Contractor Requirements Demonstrated experience in healthcare workforce recruitment and placement Ability to support both planned and urgent workforce requirements across metropolitan, regional and rural locations Capacity to operate as a long-term strategic partner and contribute to a nationally consistent workforce solution that supports quality, continuity of care and better outcomes for patients and communities Enquiries Contact: Viktor Cheremisov, viktor.cheremisov@TeWhatuOra.govt.nz
