Overview Selwyn District Council (SDC) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced construction contractors to deliver the physical works under NZS 3910:2013 for Contract No. C10112 Walkers / Two Chain Road Roundabout, located north of Rolleston town centre. About The project forms part of the wider Rolleston Access Improvements programme and is intended to support planned changes to the local transport network, including increased freight and industrial traffic movements in the Rolleston area and changes to access arrangements associated with the State Highway 1 corridor. Purpose The new roundabout will improve safety, access, and network efficiency at the Walkers Road / Two Chain Road intersection and will support the continued growth of the Rolleston industrial area. Scope The scope includes: Construction of a single-lane roundabout at the Walkers Road / Two Chain Road intersection All associated road, drainage, utility, traffic, and reinstatement works required to complete the project Construction within a live road environment Coordination with multiple stakeholders and utility providers Staging of works to manage impacts on road users, adjacent properties, and the wider transport network Contractor Requirements Demonstrated strong health and safety performance Ability to reliably deliver high-quality works Ability to sufficiently manage environmental and construction risks Ability to adapt to changing site and programme conditions Effective communication with Council, the Engineer, NZTA Waka Kotahi, utility providers, local stakeholders, and the community Ability to provide value for money Contract Terms and Conditions Construction is expected to commence after 16 November 2026 Construction is to be completed by 02 April 2027
