What the buyer is requesting Details Whitsunday Regional Council (Principal) is seeking proposals from experienced contractors for the installation and commissioning of 198 B40N PVDF membrane modules (Modules), free issued, installed into 18 new membrane racks (Racks) free issued, into membrane train 2 at Bowen Sewage Treatment Plant (BSTP). The removal and storage of all existing membrane Racks from membrane train 2 in the storage tank supplied. The replacement of “bad” Modules and “maybe” Modules (agreed with the Principal), if required in membrane train 1 and membrane train 3 with “good” and “maybe” Modules (agreed with the Principal), if required, removed from membrane tank 2. Collectively, the works (Works). Modifications to the existing plant infrastructure is not acceptable. The Works are required at the BSTP which is located on Peter Wyche Drive, Bowen QLD 4805 (Site). The Bowen STP utilises a membrane bioreactor (MBR) with the capacity to treat 14,000EP. The load on the plant is predominantly domestic in origin with very minor trade waste. The Contractor must install, commission, and performance verify that the replacement membrane racks in membrane train 2 meet the performance requirements detailed in the Scope of Works. A mandatory Tender briefing is being held Thursday, 4 June 2026 at 10.00am. The location of the meeting is Whitsunday Regional Council's Bowen Administration Building, 67 Herbert Street, Bowen Qld 4805. N.B. PPE is a requirement to attend this site, at a minimum Hi-Vis long-sleeved shirt, full length pants and steel cap boots.
