Overview The State of Queensland, through Queensland Health (the Principal), invited tenders for the provision of a suitably qualified civil contractor to construct the Enabling Works for the Cooktown Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS) Redevelopment, in accordance with the Invitation documents. About The Queensland Government is investing $200 million to redevelop the Cooktown Multipurpose Health Service (CMPHS), improving access to care for Cooktown and surrounding communities. Health Infrastructure Queensland, in partnership with Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, is responsible for delivery of the project as part of the Hospital Rescue Plan. The project will deliver a range of essential healthcare facilities and services to meet the needs of the community and reduce the need for patients to travel outside the region. Purpose The scope of this request is for an enabling works package that the project team identified to mitigate risks to the main construction, which is planned for 2027.
