Overview The City of Gold Coast is seeking a suitably experienced and licensed contractor for the design and construction of a 50m competition pool extension and the supply and installation of a new moveable bulkhead at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Purpose The installation of the moveable bulkhead will allow the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre to be utilised as a Fina compliant short course (25m) competition pool. Scope The Principal wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and licensed contractor to complete the scope of works in accordance with the Principal's Project Requirements and the provided Concept Design Drawings and Technical Specifications. The project includes detailed design, shop drawings, demolition, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and training as appropriate of a new moveable bulkhead and associated pool extension works to the 50m competition pool located within the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. The works include all necessary minor and incidental work required to implement the intent and meaning of the Concept Design Drawings and Technical Specification. The contractor is to provide all plant, equipment, materials, labour and supervision to deliver: Preliminaries including site establishment Design finalisation works including certification Pre-construction works Decommissioning and demolition works Relocation of the existing northern end shade structure works Pool extension structural works Bulkhead and starting block works Electrical and communications works Recirculation system and permanent dewatering system works Pool finishes works Concourse works and fixtures Post-construction works Site dis-establishment Contractor Requirements The pool structure extension, bulkhead and fixtures must comply with the Fina Facilities Rules 2021-2025, in particular section FR1, FR2 and associated Annexures. The Contractor may require, and must duly manage and coordinate the services of, the following (but not limited to) appropriately licensed and experienced professionals: Site Supervisor Shop Detailer(s) Fabricator(s) Specialist trade personnel Specialist Dewatering Contractor Specialist Pool Contractor Specialist Pool Tiling/Finisher Contractor Structural Contractor Structural Engineer Temporary Works Engineer Geotechnical Engineer Electrical Engineer RPEQs Certifier
