About this tender
Overview Townsville City Council is inviting tenders for the reconstruction of unsealed roads damaged by the 24 December 2025 North Queensland Monsoon Trough, including Tropical Cyclone Koji and associated severe weather. This Request for Tender is for Package B of the works, being unsealed road restoration works across four assessment areas within the Townsville local government area. About The works are Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) works delivered under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and are to be carried out in accordance with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) Treatment Guide 2020-21. The overall works have been divided into two packages. Package B covers unsealed road restoration works across four assessment areas: Dingo Park Road, Webb Road, Roseneath to Cape Cleveland and Southern Area 2. A separate Request for Tender applies to Package A. A tenderer may be awarded one package only. Purpose The purpose of this Request for Tender is to appoint a single suitably experienced civil construction contractor to deliver the Package B works under the Amended AS4000-1997 General Conditions of Contract (Construct Only). Scope The scope includes: Reconstruction and restoration of unsealed (formed and gravel) roads to their pre-disaster condition Associated drainage works Associated protection works Associated delineation works Works across the four Package B assessment areas: Dingo Park Road, Webb Road, Roseneath to Cape Cleveland, and Southern Area 2 The nature, extent and location of the works are described in Section E, Project Requirements. All quantities stated in Section E are indicative and are provided to assist tenderers, and the Contractor is responsible for satisfying itself as to the quantities from the site and the approved schedules, quantified further in the Schedule of Rates in the Tender Schedules.
