FNQROC on behalf of each of the participating councils, invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors to supply and deliver bitumen reseals across the region on designated roads as part of each council’s annual reseal program. The participating councils are: • Cassowary Coast Regional Council • Mareeba Shire Council • Tablelands Regional Council With an option to include other FNQROC member councils. Whilst tenders are sought on the basis of the aggregation of all the councils’ requirements, a separate contract will be formed between the successful tenderer and each council which will be substantially same form as the example provided within this Request for Tender (as amended by agreement between the parties) in Part 4. This Request for Tender represents a unique opportunity to secure contracts with three (3) Councils for delivery of their reseal programs for 2026/27 with the potential for the Scope to be varied to include resealing required during 2027/28 and 2028/29 at each individual council’s discretion. Whilst it is the intention of the councils to be consistent with the appointment of the successful tenderer, if this is not the case tenderers will be invited to amend their tender based on the revised scope There is also the potential for the contractor to be engaged by other FNQROC member councils to undertake similar work.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
