Overview Rio Tinto Limited is seeking a contractor to provide fully integrated Medical and Emergency Response Services for the Kangwinan Project. About The Kangwinan Project is located in the vicinity of Norman Creek, Cape York Peninsula, approximately 60 km south of Weipa. A bauxite processing plant will be constructed on the southern side of Norman Creek, with material transported approximately 15 km south-east via overland conveyor to the existing Amrun stockyard. Key scoping items for the Project include a new 19Mtpa crushing and beneficiation plant, a camp expansion, a new overland conveyor, water supply infrastructure, wharf and stockyard expansion, together with significant water infrastructure and earthworks scope. Scope The scope includes: Provision of a fully integrated Emergency Response and Medical Services solution for the Kangwinan Project Supply of all competent personnel, management, supervision, emergency response resources, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, systems, vehicles, testing equipment, communications, reporting and administrative support necessary to deliver the required services Establishment, operation and continuous management of onsite occupational health, emergency medical response, rescue, wellbeing and injury management services supporting both the Early Works and Execution phases of the Project 24-hour emergency medical response capability Occupational health services and primary healthcare Emergency and trauma care Injury management and return-to-work support Health surveillance Drug and alcohol testing Respirator fit testing Mental health and wellbeing programs Disease prevention initiatives Emergency rescue capability suitable for a major remote construction project Mobilisation, operational service delivery, emergency preparedness, reporting, quality assurance, training, and final project closeout documentation Contractor Requirements Maintain appropriately qualified and licensed medical personnel, emergency response personnel and supporting specialists to meet workforce demands throughout the Project life cycle Support the Project's Environmental, Safety and Health objectives through active participation in emergency response, incident management, workforce health initiatives, critical risk management programs and continuous improvement activities Deliver services in a manner that supports the Project objective of achieving zero harm while promoting workforce health, wellbeing and operational readiness Be capable of delivering the complete scope of services and associated documentation requirements, including mobilisation, operational service delivery, emergency preparedness, reporting, quality assurance, training, and final project closeout documentation Comply with all applicable Rio Tinto Standards, Australian and local regulations, statutory requirements, and Australian codes and standards as specified in the detailed scope of work provided to Bid participants How to Apply Expressions of interest are being sought from Contractors who can complete the whole scope of works.
