Minimum of 1 AI Engineer

This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Overview Services Australia is seeking to procure a minimum of 1 AI Engineer / Developer (APS6 equivalent) with demonstrable experience in AI on-premise platforms to play a role in delivering complex application development projects on platforms across the Technology and Digital Program (TDP) Group. This is a new role to APS Career Pathfinder and Services Australia is still consulting on the skills requirement. The Role The role includes: Implementation of AI models and algorithms, working under the guidance of more experienced professionals Contributing to the design, testing, and deployment of AI solutions Specialising in on-premises cloud-native tooling, including designing, implementing, and optimising new (greenfield) implementations and enhancing existing (brownfield) setups Applying secure-by-design architectures, incorporating reusable patterns and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver scalable, compliant solutions in line with APS frameworks and regulations Collaborating with Data Scientists, Architecture, Cyber Security, and Core data teams to establish foundational platform capability and frameworks, enforce governance, and apply best practices across networking and resource management on the primary platform Operating with a significant degree of independence and a high level of autonomy, while maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders and strict adherence to agency processes and procedures Identifying and driving innovation, managing and leading change, and contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction Developing, describing, and influencing technology outcomes, and supporting program and project deliverables Role Requirements Demonstrable experience with AI on-premise platforms Extensive experience and expertise in AI Engineering capabilities, including AI workload migrations, deployment, and operations Experience specialising in on-premises cloud-native tooling Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy while maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders and adherence to agency processes and procedures Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills in a collaborative environment Enquiries Buyer contact: ICT.PANEL.DMP@servicesaustralia.gov.au
