About this tender

Overview Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to deliver the Stage 1A and Stage 1B upgrade of Poinciana Drive, Innes Park, through this Invitation to Offer. About Bundaberg Regional Council is located in the Wide Bay Burnett geographical region of Queensland. The resident population of the total local government area is approximately 100,000 people. Poinciana Drive is a Trunk Collector Road (Suburban) connecting Back Windermere Road to Logan Road and services an area of ongoing and future residential development. Current traffic volumes range from approximately 814 to 1,235 vehicles per day, with up to 17.9% heavy vehicles and an 85th percentile speed of 66.6 km/h. The existing sealed width varies between approximately 5.9 m and 6.8 m and the road operates as a 60 km/h bus route. The pavement condition has deteriorated to the point that it now requires renewal. Adjacent residential developments have also been conditioned to deliver future widening and kerb and channel. As such, Council has elected to coordinate the renewal and widening works as one works package to avoid protracted disruptions to the community. Scope The scope includes: Pavement rehabilitation and widening of Poinciana Drive to an ultimate width of approximately 9.3 m, delivering compliant lane widths, improved structural capacity, and extended asset life Road safety upgrades, including line marking, signage, guideposts, RRPMs, and vegetation hazard removal Two extensions to the water main network Stormwater infrastructure works Road lighting upgrades Contractor Requirements Suitably qualified as a Principal Contractor to deliver the Stage 1A and Stage 1B upgrade works
