Overview Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) is seeking a Principal Contractor to undertake a roof upgrade at Sunbird Cottage, Cooktown Residential Aged Care (RAC). Purpose The existing roof has reached the end of its serviceable life and has experienced water ingress at the two valleys on the southern side. To minimise the risk of further deterioration and allow the broader refurbishment works to proceed, TCHHS is undertaking a standalone roof replacement package in advance of the internal refurbishment works. Scope The scope includes: Complete replacement of the existing roofing system Replacement of associated rainwater goods Replacement of nominated ancillary components Maintaining the integrity of the facility throughout the works Delivery of a durable, compliant and weatherproof roofing asset suitable for the tropical conditions of Far North Queensland
