About this tender
Council is seeking the services of qualified contractors to perform horizontal directional drilling services across both capital and maintenance projects. Conduits, envelopers and pipes typically range in size from 63mm to 630mm, as detailed in the schedule of rates. The Contractor shall supply all labour, machinery, construction plant and ancillary equipment required for the satisfactory completion of the works. Inclusions: Site preparation required for construction activities, including the installation of water quality mitigation measures and preparation of site entry and exit points. All mobilisation, site preparation, drilling, reaming, pipe installation, polyethylene butt fusion welding, material disposal and site restoration, as described, including all repair, maintenance, clean up and reinstatement of drilling and pullback sites at the approved locations and within the established limits of work. Butt fusion welding of stub flanges to installed pipelines where pressure testing is required. Supply and delivery of polyethylene pipes, where applicable, in accordance with the Schedule of Rates. Supply, installation and maintenance of temporary fencing, barriers and similar controls to segregate pedestrians, the public and wildlife from the work areas. Obtaining Dial Before You Dig plans and undertaking potholing or other investigative works as required to locate, verify and protect all existing services from damage. Provide Geotechnical Engineer design certification where required for Queensland Department of Transport controlled road crossings Background information / Compatibility requirements Exclusions: Council will provide Detailed design, including bore length and depth below the existing surface Survey set out of the design Vegetation clearing permits Traffic management services, which will be provided by Council’s nominated traffic control contractor.
