Purpose of this Request for Information Townsville City Council (Council) is seeking information from the market regarding the potential delivery of a large-scale public activation within the Townsville CBD to coincide with the Australia v Brazil international football match to be held at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on 25 September 2026. Council is undertaking this Request for Information (RFI) to better understand: • The capabilities available within the market; • Innovative concepts and activation ideas that could be delivered; • Potential delivery models; • Indicative budget requirements; • Risks, opportunities and key considerations associated with delivering an event of this nature. At this stage, Council has not determined the preferred delivery approach and is seeking industry input to assist with planning and decision-making. Respondents are encouraged to provide creative and innovative proposals outlining how they would approach the delivery of a city-wide street party activation and associated event activities.
