About this tender

Overview City of Townsville is calling for tenders for remaining available land within the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP or Precinct), a major industrial precinct positioned for environmentally responsible advanced manufacturing, technology and processing activities. About The Precinct is located approximately 40 kilometres south of the Townsville central business district in the suburb of Calcium and comprises approximately 2,200 hectares extending east from the Mingela State Forest and Lansdown Creek towards the Flinders Highway. Townsville City Council (Council) acquired the land in 2001 after its previous use by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation as a pasture research site. LEIP is supported by strategic access to the Port of Townsville, major road and rail corridors, the North Queensland Gas Pipeline, the Woodstock Ergon Substation and planned industrial water infrastructure. Since 2019, Council has undertaken several open market processes for land within the Precinct, resulting in conditional land allocations across advanced manufacturing, energy, critical minerals, storage, chemical processing and related projects. Purpose This refreshed market land tender considers remaining available land within the LEIP. Scope Remaining available land within the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
