University Drive Waste Facility - Gatehouse and Associated Civil Works

Overview Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking to engage a suitable Principal Contractor for the construction of new civil concrete paved roadways, access gate and associated works, including a weighbridge gatehouse, as an upgrade to the University Drive Waste Management Facility. About Bundaberg Regional Council is located in the Wide Bay Burnett geographical region of Queensland. The resident population of the total local government area is approximately 100,000 people. Purpose The upgrade is intended to provide a better customer experience, enable efficient waste and recycling segregation, and improve safety at the site, while accommodating changes to waste technologies adopted in the Bundaberg Region Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan 2023-2030. Scope The scope includes: Construction of new civil concrete paved roadways, access gate, and associated works including a weighbridge gatehouse at the University Drive Waste Management Facility Design and construction of the gatehouse component, coordinated with all other works associated with this tender Provision of all labour, consumables, plant, equipment and appliances required to perform the construction activities in accordance with the Contract Documentation, including the Project Drawings and relevant Technical Specifications, Annexures and Standards Recording of date, registration, gross vehicle mass (GVM), and material type (for example, steel, concrete, gravels) for each vehicle bypassing the weighbridge under the approval granted by the Queensland Government authority (DETSI), and provision of an electronic copy of these details to the Principal on a weekly basis Tender Briefing A mandatory briefing meeting will be held for this opportunity.
