Noosa Shire Council invites suitably capable and experienced respondents to submit a Tender for the delivery of its next Waste Collection Services contract. Noosa Shire Council services a resident population of approximately 59,274 and receives in excess of 2.1 million visitors annually, resulting in a service environment that is highly dynamic and variable. The contract encompasses the full delivery of waste collection services across the Noosa Shire region, including: Domestic Services: General waste (refuse) collection; Commingled recycling collection; Garden organic (green waste) collection. Commercial and Public Services: Commercial refuse, commingled recycling and cardboard collection; Public place bin services; Waste transfer station bin services; Bulk bin services associated with Council facilities. This procurement represents a significant, long-term service partnership, for the delivery of essential waste collection services across the Noosa Shire, including domestic, commercial, public place and waste transfer station services, together with all associated operational, reporting and management obligations. A briefing and site inspection is scheduled for 2 July 2026; details are provided in Part 2 of the Request for Tender. Respondents are to note that this Request for Tender relates to the provision of waste collection services only, and does not include landfill operations or resource recovery facility management.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
